Dinner conversation with Teenager

"Mblmrlmrnbl mrnmlb"

(picture food spurting out of teenage mouth)

"I'm sorry, sweetie, what did you say?"

"Mbmrl mrnmb lbrml nmmmlbrml"

"Still can't hear you, kiddo."

"MBMRL MNMRL BRMAL AVLEM SMCNM"

"Honey, maybe it would help if you stop eating for a second."

(fork slams down onto plate)

"CAAAAN IIII HAAAAAVE SEEEEEECONDS, MMOOOMMMM!!??!!!??"

Heh! No wonder they like zombies. The 2 life forms share the same language: "Mbmrl mrnmb lbrml nmmmlbrml."

Too funny! Do Zombies get irritated when you can't understand them?

I'm thinking these are boys? LOL (I'm enjoying your blog - I'll keep reading and I'm sure I'll learn the answer to my question)

Your stories are great Elizabeth...I enjoy reading it, and as the mother of a 14 year old daughter (yikes!), I take great comfort in knowing that I am not the only one who has no idea what their kid is saying half the time. Enunciate? Ha!

Btw, thanks for visiting my blog...

Eat a Peach - you should count your blessings that you can actually understand your teenager HALF the time! That's way more than most of us!

Esther, welcome aboard!
