I'm not much of a basketball fan, but I love the way you get excited. I feel the same way when my boys are in town (Visalia Oaks single-A baseball)

That game was extrordinarily painful to watch.
Plant - I'm so sorry...I knew you might feel this way! I was all for the Heat until y'all took on the Pistons. I lived in Detroit for three years and the Pistons are the only basketball team besides the Suns I've ever held allegiance to...which is especially odd because NO ONE in Phoenix likes the Pistons...except apparently me. Nonetheless, I'm now in a quandary: 1) Mavs over the Heat because the Heat beat the Pistons and they can't POSSIBLY be allowed to be the champions; or 2) Heat over the Mavs because the Mavs beat the Suns and they can't POSSIBLY be allowed to be the champions.
I may have to sit this final series out altogether.
September - how adorable! The Visalia Oaks...in Phoenix, it used to be the triple AAA Firebirds. I love the D'backs, but in private, I must admit I really miss the minor league days. The minor leagues exemplify what baseball is all about. Hot dogs, cracker jacks and week day afternoons. Makes me long to see a Visalia Oaks game!
Matt - painful doesn't even begin to describe what it was like to actually be there. Grown men were in tears. I'm not kidding.
Truly sorry they lost. I was rooting for them as was my son. Now get on the Heat bandwagon already, will ya?
